By adding the universal year 1999 (1+9+9+9=28) to the 6th month of June, we come up with the vibration of 34/7. The 34/7 month is about taking the time to tune in to what has meaning in your life. It is a time for inner reflection, contemplation, and rest. Use this month to tap into what has meaning for you through art, meditation, being close to nature, and, if possible, retreat time. Look to see how you can create a harmonious balance including alone time for expanding your insights, creativity, and practical accomplishment.

June 4 Mars goes direct Mars, which has been retrograde since March 18, goes direct June 4. Mars retrogrades are times when we get to look at how consciously we use our energy and personal will. With Mars retrograde in Scorpio, the focus of our energy and will has been on the unconscious forces in our lives. While Mars has been retrograde in Scorpio, we have had the opportunity to explore our own intensity, passion, and power. We have also had the opportunity to see how we as humans abuse power through the domination, exploitation, and annihilation of others. Now that Mars is going direct, we should see a lessening of the conflict around the world and more consciousness around the right use of will to resolve conflict.

June 5 Venus enters Leo Venus moves through the sign of Leo until July 12, trines (flowing relationship) Pluto June 13-15, and opposes (180 degrees) Uranus June 22-24. This can be a time of major heart opening, as both Pluto and Uranus have a very transforming influence on Venus. The Venus/Pluto trine brings out our passion and desire to speak from our hearts. Venus in Leo calls us to return to the innocence of the child within, to allow the spontaneous outpouring of love to emanate from the heart chakra. With the Venus/Uranus opposition we have an opportunity to liberate our hearts, to break free from inhibitions or beliefs that have kept our hearts from being fully opened in the past.

We should see a lessening of the conflict around the world
and more consciousness around the right use of will to resolve conflict.

June 6 Mercury enters Cancer Mercury moves into the sign of Cancer on June 6 and will be there until June 26. With Mercury in Cancer, we have the opportunity to blend our intellect with our emotions. It is a time for all of us to speak out more honestly about what we are feeling. For those who consider themselves emotionally centered anyway, this is a time to communicate more clearly about what you are feeling, as you will be able to use the natural discriminative qualities of the mind to clarify your emotions. For those who are more intellectually centered, this is a time to suspend the critical faculties long enough for the underlying emotion to be heard. In other words, this could look like going with your emotional prompting despite your mind’s objections or analysis.

June 13 New moon in Gemini On June 13 at 12:03 p.m. we start a new moon cycle at 22 degrees Gemini. With each new moon, we have an opportunity for a new quality to emerge into our consciousness. This month, the quality that is emerging is our ability to nurture ourselves through intellectual stimulation. This is a great time for taking in new information via classes, workshops, reading books, etc. It’s also a great time to get on the phone and reestablish connection with friends, relatives, and your social network of like-minded souls.

June 21 Sun enters Cancer The sun moves into the sign of Cancer on June 21 at 12:49 p.m. At the summer solstice, the light is at its zenith. In nature, the budding plant has assimilated nurturing from the environment and is beginning to manifest an identifiable form. The Cancer principle involves the assimilation of impressions from the outer world, particularly intimate experiences of nurturing. Our job during the sign of Cancer is to create a secure and stable sense of belonging for ourselves and others that stems from our experiences of positive familial imprinting or that is centered in our awareness of belonging to a greater spiritual family.

This month, the quality that is emerging is our ability
to nurture ourselves through intellectual stimulation.

June 26 Mercury enters Leo Mercury moves into Leo on June 26 and will be there until August 31. With Mercury in Leo, the emphasis is on using the imaginative and playful aspects of the mind to create your own reality. Since the subtle or intuitive mind is a nonlinear or non-analytic function during this transit, the best way to benefit from the power of the mind is in playful, creative ways. Try art, dance, creative writing using the non-dominant hand (the left hand for most of us), and the techniques of brainstorming to further your creative efforts this month. As we suspend the critical and analytic part of our brains, we often can come up with undreamed-of solutions to everyday and major life decisions. By using the power of imagination and play, we free the mind to generate new possibilities that far exceed the dualistic "this or that" mentality of the concrete mind.

June 28 Jupiter enters Taurus Jupiter enters the sign of Taurus on June 28 and will be there until June 30, 2000. With Jupiter in Taurus, we have an opportunity to reconnect with the wisdom of the natural world. Jupiter in Taurus calls us to learn from the wisdom of our bodies and the earth. Hopefully, with Jupiter’s passage through Taurus we will once again see how interconnected we are with the planet. The esoteric ruler of Taurus is the earth, so Jupiter in Taurus helps us expand our consciousness through tuning in to the wisdom of earth-based or indigenous spirituality. It is a great time to expand your knowledge of shamanism, Native American ritual, body-centered psychotherapies, yoga, or any form of conscious movement.

June 28 Full moon in Capricorn The moon is full at 6 degrees Capricorn on June 28 at 2:38 p.m. For this next month, the emphasis is on creating emotional safety, groundedness, and security. The moon in Capricorn calls us to reconnect with the earth element in our lives. The challenge this month is to tune in to our natural self-reliance. The full moon in Capricorn is asking us to take whatever steps are necessary so that we can be more fully in our bodies, secure in the knowledge that we are approaching life with a pragmatic and realistic focus.
