By adding the universal year 2003, (2+0+0+3) = 5, to 12th month of December, we come up with the vibration of 17/8. The 8 month represents an opportunity to achieve greater mastery in our lives. It’s a great month for taking a look at your goals and brainstorming new possibilities for accomplishing them that you might not have thought of before. Try to suspend the critic, the cynic and the skeptic and move into new, uncharted territory. December 1-2 Stimulate Your Perception. Mercury in Sagittarius will be in positive relationship with Uranus in Aquarius December 1-2. Mercury/Uranus stimulates the perceptive and intuitive qualities of the mind. Take note, literally, of what you are thinking about during these transits because you may very well come up with new and innovative solutions to long-standing issues. December 2-February 8, 2004 Focus on Strategy. Mercury in Capricorn activates our left brain abilities of logical, sequential and linear thought. With Mercury in Capricorn your ability to focus on strategy will be enhanced and you will probably find it easier to map out what steps you will need to take to manifest your goals. Or it may be that at this time you will be able to more clearly focus your mind on what your actual goals are. This is a great time to accomplish a lot particularly if the focus is on writing, speaking or any form of communication. It’s also a great time to physically ground all of the details you’ve been tracking in your mind by making master lists of what you want to accomplish and then prioritizing the goals on your lists. Mercury in Capricorn helps us to manage and structure the contents of our minds so we can plan in detail how you are going to go about accomplishing your goals. Use this time to get linear, logical and organized! Mercury in Capricorn helps you focus your mind in a systematic way. If attention to details is a problem for you usually this transit can help out. If making lists of things to do is difficult get out some large paper and felt tip markers and just brainstorm all the things you’ve wanted to do. Just getting it out of your brain and onto paper will help you be more objective about what to do next. Mercury in the Capricorn helps us to more clearly articulate our vision so that we can cause it to be manifest in the world. By clearly stating (written form, too!) what you want in terms of specific, measurable, tangible results you have a much greater chance of manifesting what you want. December 8 Expand Your Network. The full moon brings to light or awareness what qualities you can focus on this month that will truly nurture you. This month the moon is full on December 8 at 16 degrees Gemini. The full moon in Gemini presents us the opportunity of nurturing ourselves through connecting with others for the purpose of giving and receiving information. It’s a great time to take a class, read up about a subject that broadens your knowledge base, or just get together with friends for stimulating conversation. With the full moon in Gemini the challenge is to expand your personal network of friends and associates so that you can grow intellectually. Often times we forget about our need for intellectual stimulation so use this full moon to nurture yourself in this area of your life. December 10-12 Align with Joy. Venus in Capricorn is in a flowing relationship with Jupiter in Virgo from December 10-12. Venus and Jupiter are the most beneficial planets and in earth signs the emphasis is on manifestation! This is a great time to get clear about what you want to bring into your life that would give you more joy. The law of attraction says that to manifest anything we want we have to be aligned with the energy of what we want to attract. I may want to manifest a beautiful home but if part of me is saying "you can't afford it, blah, blah, blah," then that becomes my dominant vibration. Use this transit to begin a practice of shifting your awareness to what gives you joy. As you become more aligned with what gives you joy, things start to flow more and the manifestation process speeds up. December 16 Commit to Action. Mars passes through it’s own sign of Aries from December 16 through February 3. If you have wanted to make changes in your life use Mars in Aries to start making things happen! In other words, through the power of your will, affirm to others that you are committing to a course of action! Take a stand about what you intend to create in your life and find others that will support and empower you in following through. Now is the time to deepen your level of commitment to implementing your goals. Let Mars in Aires be your ally, your greatest supporter and coach! December 17-January 5 Shift Your Attention. During Mercury retrogrades we are being asked to shift our attention from the external reality to the internal reality. Being an extrovert naturally, it sometimes seems like I am being forced by external circumstances during Mercury retrogrades to take off time to focus within. On the other hand, introverts, or people with natal Mercury retrograde report that Mercury retrogrades are the times when they accomplish the most and seem more externally focused! This month Mercury goes retrograde at 12 degrees Capricorn on December 17. Mercury will go back into the sign of Sagittarius from December 30 until it goes direct again on February 6 at 26 degrees Sagittarius. It will then move back into the sign of Capricorn on January 14. With Mercury retrograde in Capricorn/Sagittarius it’s time to awaken our minds to new possibilities that we may have never imagined before. This is a great time to pay attention to your intuition particularly those inspirational visions that come to you when you are feeling expansive. Mercury retrograde in Capricorn/Sagittarius can signify great breakthroughs if we allow ourselves to be open to higher mind moving through our conscious awareness. December 20 Broaden Your Values. Venus journeys through the sign of Aquarius from December 20 through January 14. With Venus in Aquarius we have an opportunity to broaden or break open our personal value system. Venus in Aquarius helps us to envision a new paradigm of relationship that is in sharp contrast to the co-dependent model we now have. Since Venus rules the heart chakra, with Venus in Aquarius you might want to break free from traditional ways of sharing your heart energy. This could include: more openness or experimentation in your relationship forms; wanting to be intimate (not necessarily sexual) with more than one person; desiring to expand your personal love to include expressing impersonal love for those in need of help, and experimentation with different forms of sexuality. Let Venus in Aquarius help you open your heart to greater intimacy and authenticity in all of your relationships. December 22 Consolidate Your Energy. The Sun goes into the sign of Capricorn on December 22. At the Winter solstice little in nature is left above ground and all living things have to consolidate and preserve their energies in order to survive the cold of winter. At this time of shorter days and ever increasing light the earth patiently endures, waiting for new forms to manifest. The Capricorn principle demonstrates how self-reliance and consolidation of power and authority lead to mastery. Our job in the sign of Capricorn is to be positive role models who demonstrate mastery of accomplishment and right use of power and authority. December 23 Get Grounded. For this next month the emphasis is on creating emotional safety, groundedness and security. The new moon in Capricorn calls us to reconnect with the earth element in our lives. The challenge this month is to tune into our natural self-reliance. The new moon in Capricorn is asking us to take whatever steps are necessary so that we can be more fully in our bodies; secure in the knowledge that we are approaching life with a pragmatic and realistic focus. December 29-31 Review Your Dreams. Venus/Neptune heightens our idealism to the maximum. With Venus square Neptune you are challenged to blend your idealism with your desire to serve others in an impersonal way. Review your dreams for yourself and your desire to serve others at this time. What can you do now to begin bringing down your ideals so they can become realized? Quiet your mind and allow your feelings of compassion for others to flow through your heart. You may find yourself inspired to express what you are experiencing and feeling at this time through art, dance, gentle flowing movement or any activity where you bypass the rational mind and move into subtler levels of communication. December 30 Practice Unity Consciousness. Uranus, which has been in the sign of Aquarius since September, now moves back into the sign of Pisces on December 30, 2003 until May of 2010. Now that Uranus in Aquarius has created an opening for us on an energetic level, we can deepen our spiritual growth as Uranus moves back into the sign of Pisces. With Uranus in Pisces what is being called for is a true revolution of spirit. We are moving into a new era of spirituality that is based on direct perception of God or unity consciousness. As people are empowered and understand that it is no longer necessary to depend on external religion to "bind" us to God, (the true meaning of the word religion), then a new freedom of Spirit will be released on the planet. No longer willing to be constrained by the dogma and hierarchy of traditional religious structures, the people will begin to see that a new "religion" is needed. The characteristics and values of this new religion will be tolerance, acceptance of diversity, unification, and inclusion. As we begin to see and accept that every religion has a piece of the whole truth, then we can truly move from separation consciousness into unity consciousness.
