By adding the universal year 2003, (2+0+0+3) = 5, to the 7th month of July we come up with the vibration 12/3. The 3-month is a time for tapping into joy through creative self-expression. What aspect of your creativity wants to come out this month? Are you a closet painter, writer, dancer or musician? Is there something that you are really passionate about that you would like to share with others but have been holding back? Use this month to discover your own form of creative expression. Let yourself be like the child and really get down and play this month! July 1-5: Transform Your Beliefs. Jupiter in Leo is in a positive aspect with Pluto in Sagittarius from July 1-5. Jupiter/Pluto transits are the fuel for changes in mass consciousness. With the trine between Jupiter and Pluto, we are becoming aware of the need to balance inspiration (Leo) with wisdom (Sagittarius). Use this transit to re-examine and re-evaluate your fundamental beliefs. Jupiter/Pluto asks you to transform your beliefs by stepping back to gain a larger perspective. July 4-29: Unconditionally Nurture. With Venus in Cancer from July 4-29, the emphasis this month is on finding ways to nurture others and ourselves. Many associate the traditional nurturing quality of Cancer with that of the "smother mother," the overbearing, codependent and disempowering nurturer. This month you have an opportunity to take a deeper cut at what nurturing can be. Venus in Cancer asks you to open up to become an instrument for Divine Mother to flow through you and into the lives of others. When you are in touch with the Divine Mother who is compassionate, all-nurturing and protective, you don’t have to work so hard to nurture others. As you open to the grace of Divine Mother flowing through you, there is no sense of being "sucked dry" by the needs of others because you have established your connection with divine nurturance. Ask yourself this month: Who nurtures the nurturer? If you find that you are better at receiving than giving, take time this month to find out what really nurtures you. As you establish that nurturing connection you will find that it will be much easier to unconditionally nurture others. July 5-6: Trust Your Wisdom. With Mercury in Cancer opposing Chiron in Capricorn, the focus is on healing the wounds we have around trusting our inherent wisdom and authority. It is now time to throw off the injunctions (from past and present lives) that have prevented you from speaking the truth as you know it. This may look like letting go of the thought that you must have advanced degrees or special training to validate and prove your spiritual authority. Or it may require that you learn to let go of the conscious mind long enough so that your inherent wisdom can surface on it’s own without censoring. Having done your healing work, Mercury opposing Chiron in Capricorn will bring you incredible opportunities to powerfully share universal truth and wisdom on the planet. July 5-7: Open Your Heart. Venus in Cancer has an enlivening aspect to Uranus in Pisces July 5-7. Venus/Uranus provides an opportunity for opening our heart chakras by literally running high voltage through the heart. This is represented physically and etherically through the process of channeling universal energy (Uranus) through the heart chakra (Venus) as in Reiki. Allow Venus/Uranus to help you break free from any restrictions you may be feeling in your emotional expression. July 13: Reconnect with the Earth. The full Moon occurs at 20 degrees Capricorn on July 13. For this next month, the emphasis is on creating emotional safety, groundedness and security. The full moon in Capricorn calls us to reconnect with the earth element in our lives. The challenge this month is to tune into your natural self-reliance. The lunar eclipse will also heighten your desire to take whatever steps are necessary so that you can be more fully in your body; secure in the knowledge that you are approaching life with a pragmatic and realistic focus. July 13-30: Create Your Own Reality. With Mercury in Leo, the emphasis is on using the imaginative and playful aspects of the mind to create your own reality. Since the subtle or intuitive mind is a non-linear or non-analytic function, during this transit the best way to benefit from the power of the mind is in playful, creative ways. Try art, dance, creative writing using the non-dominant hand (usually the left hand for most of us), and the techniques of brainstorming to further your creative efforts this month. As we suspend the critical and analytic part of our brains, we often can come up with undreamed of solutions to everyday and major life decisions. By using the power of imagination and play we free the mind to generate new possibilities that far exceed the dualistic "this or that" mentality of the concrete mind. You can also use Mercury in Leo to "re-think" your own creativity. Most people associate creativity with overt forms such as music, art or other artistic expressions. With Mercury in Leo you have an opportunity to get in touch with your creative muse, the divine child within. Use this transit to tap into your creative child. Find out how he or she would like to play. For many of us who are "do-ers" this is a tough assignment, as we were taught that we could play when the work was done. And guess what? The work was never done! Try free drawing, writing with your non-dominant hand, working with clay or just being goofy! By giving your child permission to play you will unleash the creative force within. Let the play be with you! July 15- 17: Express Your Passion. Venus in Cancer is in a challenging aspect with Chiron in Capricorn from July 15-17. This transit facilitates us getting in touch with what we are passionate about. Venus/Chiron asks you to speak out about your convictions or what your are "righteously indignant" about. Many people never discover what they are passionate about because a layer of anger veils their passion. Since anger is seen by many as an undesirable quality, the underlying passion is often thrown out as well. Venus in aspect to Chiron asks you to speak out about your convictions and heal any wounds you may have around expressing your truth or your passion. July 23: Tap into Your Fire. The Sun moves into the sign of Leo on July 23. In nature it is the height of the heat of summer and the fruit is ripe and ready for picking. The Leo principle relates to the ripening and expression of one’s creative energies. Our job in Leo is to tap into the beauty and fiery spirit of the divine child within and be role models for others in how to let that energy flow outwards so that it is brought to fruition. July 28: Immerse Yourself in Spirit. Mars goes retrograde on July 28 and won’t go direct again until September 27. Mars retrogrades are times when we get to look at how consciously we use our energy and personal will. While Mars is retrograde in Pisces, the focus is on learning how to let go or surrender our attachment to outcome. Mars in Pisces represents the spiritual warrior who combines the valor and courage of the warrior with the wisdom, compassion and surrender of the boddhisatva. This is a time to re-discover how to "let go and let God". It’s also a time to "immerse" your self in spirit. If you have been feeling stagnant, resigned or apathetic, retrograde Mars in Pisces can help you get inspired and can help you re-kindle the desire for oneness or unity. Going on a pilgrimage to exotic, sacred or foreign locations is also a way of expressing this inspiring transit. July 28-August 22: Open Your Heart. Venus will move through the sign of Leo from July 28-August 22. With Venus in Leo, we have an opportunity to reinvent our values so that they are rooted in our own unique, experience. Having clarified our values, the natural inclination is to want to share our values with others, to connect and link-up with like-minded souls who support our individuality and creativity. By sharing with and being supported by like-minded souls we have an opportunity to share our heart with others, to let down our guard so that we can be truly received and appreciated for whom we are. This can be a time of major heart opening. The Venus in Leo transit brings out our passion and desire to speak from our hearts. Venus in Leo calls us to return to the innocence of the child within, to allow the spontaneous outpouring of love to emanate from the heart chakra. With the Venus in Leo you have an opportunity to liberate your heart, to break free from inhibitions or beliefs that have kept your heart from being fully opened in the past. July 29: Celebrate Your Divine Child. With the new moon in Leo, the focus this month is on nurturing yourself through bringing out the divine child within. The divine child is the source of your creativity, spontaneity and enthusiasm. Its qualities are mirrored back to us through the love and appreciation we have for the innocence and directness of the external children we meet in our day-to-day lives. What we love about our external children is the exact qualities inherent in our own divine child. Use this month to tap into your sense of wonder and awe, the joy and aliveness that you receive by being totally present and in the moment. Bring a sense of play into your life by being willing to let go of your seriousness and self-consciousness. And remember, no matter how deep your child may be buried among the rubble of responsibility and duty, if you take some time this month to nurture yourself on this level you may be pleasantly surprised to find a willing child that wants to come out and play! July 30: Streamline Your Life. Mercury moves through the sign of Virgo from July 30-October 7. Use this period to focus on the details of your life that have not been attended to recently. Even though you may not be consciously aware of it, your energy is continually being drained by incomplete actions. For example, if you have borrowed a book from someone and you have been meaning to return it but haven’t, some of your attention and energy is being drained to track that incomplete action. Use this Mercury period to clean up any energy drains in your life so that you will be clearer and have more energy to focus on your highest priorities.
