The heart of the book revolves around the five qualities of the soul. The style in which each quality is depicted lends real insight to the reader.

This small
book is a quietly spiritual gift to our collective hearts through
the power of photographic imagery. Each picture chronicles a
stop on Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist Jerry Gay’s
three-year odyssey across the United States, and each image is
a journey in and of itself.
I usually read books
in small chunks over many months, but I read I Thought We’d
Never Speak Again in two sittings. Its text is exquisitely
designed to support easy reading, and author Laura Davis’
powerful stories about reconciliation grabbed my heart and didn’t
let go until the last page.
I love asking questions.
It’s been a hobby, a passion, and a tool for getting through
life since I was a very verbal two-year-old asking "Why?"
The right questions, asked aloud, can potentially solve any challenge
more quickly than trying to figure it out without asking. Four
excellent questions are at the core of this life-changing book
— compassionate questions all four, asked by a very compassionate
soul in the form of Byron Katie.
Soul Sisters
is a book for anyone who considers herself on a spiritual journey
or a faith walk. Drawing from a lifetime of experiences and study,
the author depicts her theology in a way that mentors to her
readers. The format of the book is a study guide, providing the
reader with a working model to help cultivate the five divine
qualities of the soul. It is a workbook that provides examples
from historical, mythological, and real-life soul sisters that
inspire and motivate us.
Through my research
on the internet, I’ve learned that there is a definite distinction
between a vegan and a vegetarian. In last month’s Online
Review, I highlighted vegetarians. While a few of the links pertained
to vegans, too, the Web sites below are all vegan.
