Globally, we will see an increase in creative output, new innovations, expanded markets, and willingness by businesses to take greater risks and be less conservative. Use Jupiter in Leo this year to ignite your inner fire of creativity and passion for life! August 6-26 Mercury in Virgo Mercury moves through the sign of Virgo from August 6-September 1. Use this period to focus on the details of your life that have not been attended recently. Even though you may not be consciously aware of it, your energy is continually being drained by incomplete actions. For example, if you have borrowed a book from someone and you have been meaning to return it but haven't, some of your attention and energy is being drained to track that incomplete action. August 8 New moon in Leo With the new moon in Leo, the focus this month is on nurturing yourself through bringing out the divine child within. The divine child is the source of your creativity, spontaneity, and enthusiasm. The challenge of this transit is to objectively and realistically assess where you need to change. Saturn trine Uranus is one of the best transits for making sustainable (Saturn) changes (Uranus). On a collective level, Saturn/Uranus represents the breaking up or dissolution of rigid structures and boundaries. This could be in the form of new political strategies that blend conservative (Saturn) ideology with liberal (Uranus) breakthroughs and progressive thinking. August 15-17 Venus trines Neptune Venus in Libra is in a positive relationship with Neptune in Aquarius from August 15-17. Venus trine Neptune asks us to balance our personal desires with our impulse to serve the collective. August 22 Full moon in Aquarius The full moon occurs in Aquarius on August 22. For this next month, the emphasis is on learning how to detach emotionally in a positive way. The moon in Aquarius calls us to learn how to be emotionally present to others while maintaining our individuality and our own center. The Aquarius moon will also heighten your desire to find the "tribe" or community that supports and nourishes your vision. August 22-25 Mars opposes Uranus Mars in Leo is in challenging relationship with Uranus in Aquarius from August 22-25. Mars/Uranus energy tends to speed up the nervous system, so if you feel wired, take some time to do some deep breathing. Mars/Uranus energy is very good when you have to be daring or audacious in your work or home life. It's a time to take risks and push the envelope. August 22-26 Mars sextiles Saturn Mars in Leo will be in a positive relationship with Saturn in Gemini from August 22-26. Mars is the planet representing the assertion of personal will, while Saturn represents the discipline required to bring things into form. The good news is that this transit is an opportunity to concentrate your willpower and accomplish a lot. The bad news is that Mars/Saturn energy can sometimes bring up frustration or the feeling that our actions are being blocked. The Virgo principle involves analyzing and improving upon the creative output generated in Leo through discernment and efficiency. August 25 Pluto direct Pluto, which has been moving in retrograde motion since March 20, will go direct again on August 25 at 14 degrees Sagittarius. Since Pluto in your birth chart represents where you tap into collective power or will, Pluto retrogrades are a time when you can reflect on how you are using your personal power. Do powerful people make you uncomfortable? Do you react strongly to any perceived misuse of power from those in your life? Do you often see in others a tendency to manipulate or control? If so, then the Pluto retrograde period may have been a time when you were looking at how you may be feeling disempowered in your life. August 26-September 9 Mercury in Libra With Mercury in Libra from August 31-November 7, the emphasis is on coming into balance through drawing on our mental qualities of objectivity and equality. Mercury in Libra, in particular, is the champion of justice, and can be quite bold and outspoken when things become unjust. August 29 Mars enters Virgo Mars will be in the sign of Virgo from August 29 through October 15. With Mars in Virgo, you have an opportunity to take care of the details of your life. Since Mars represents where we assert our will, in Virgo we focus our will on taking care of our daily routines. Where can you be more efficient in your life?
