Yet what does this new being Im seeking to transform into look and feel like? What truths, what teachings, truly invigorate the cellular structure of who I am to one of pure vibration and frequency and invoke the final birth of belief in my souls power within our physical world? What guidance can cause me to live in complete health and breathe peace as I walk and manifest change in all of my expressions? In short, how might I, and we, bring heaven to earth while in mortal form? Were not unprepared. There have been and are masters in many lands whose sacred treatises inspire and instruct, though their insights and translations may confound those of another culture. Yet, even the Bible states that everything we need for our welfare has been bountifully supplied. Apparently we dont believe it or understand it, though, because how-to books on spirituality, knowing God, ascension, relationships, health, natural foods, and exercise continue to be bought, seminar rooms filled, while we often overlook the re-Sources divinely planted millennia ago for awakening and feeding our light. The Bible has remained the bulwark of the Christian church for centuries despite the fact that its political or denominational selection of scrolls has been translated multiple times, revised, and edited from less-than-accurate copies of previous versions copies. While much remains of beauty and truth in the Bible, the discerning eye and ear waits for answers to many questions. Such as, on a practical level, what did Jesus teach? Where is the biblical how-to that transforms our mortal flesh to that of a Christ? Surely specifics must have been shared! Would God give generalized guidance when our awakening is the point of it all? What details led people to follow Jesus through the deserts and towns for weeks and years? Some of those biblical incentives were uncovered in 1923 by a young man who was filled with a passion to know the source of love. His fervent ideals created a quick sequence of events offering him access the secret archives of the Vatican. Edmond Bordeaux Szekelys original translations from the Aramaic and Hebrew of Jesus expressions, entitled The Essene Gospel of Peace, fill four books, which also serve as the basis for much of Szekelys other research, books, and the health communities that he established during his life. Years ago I read his Essene Gospel, and I didnt understand a word. Now theyve found their way back to me again, and I wonder how I could have been so blind. They are both shocking and refreshing, and they link to other sacred texts. The food offered up here feeds the body, spirit, and soul, which all combine to illumine us to be our spiritual selves in form. The Jesus to whom the people appeal for answers in these texts is intimate with all the forces of God that serve us. Physical and spiritual health are ours only as we remove ourselves from the distractions of everything weve come to depend upon, begin feeding ourselves from Gods table, and walk with Gods angels. Here Jesus tells his followers that they are created from their Earthly Mother and sustained spiritually by their Heavenly Father. "I tell you in very truth, Man is the son of the Earthly Mother...Keep therefore her laws, for none can live long, neither be happy," Jesus urges the people in Szekelys Book One translation. Soon later Jesus explains, "I tell you truly, should you fail to keep but one only of all these laws, should you harm but one only of all your bodys members, you shall be utterly lost in your grievous sickness, and there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth." This living law is written "in everything that is life" says Christ, not in "dead scripture." The power of "the devil" is plainly our distraction and temptation away from what is meant to nourish us into long life and bring about our ultimate spiritual illumination. As Jesus advises, it becomes clear that our choices and beliefs mirror themselves and how we ignore the natural laws. We find ourselves eating physical foods that contaminate the temple of our bodies, relish disruptions that defile our thoughts, and overlook or disdain the spiritual elements surrounding us that are meant to cleanse the body and nourish the soul. Laden with contaminates of body, mind, and heart, our lights cannot shine and our relationship to ourselves and others, and our capacity to inherit and participate in the whole of Gods kingdom, is limited. Fasting and cleansing our bodies, psyches, and spirits is called for as Christ explains the necessity of communing with the angel of air, the angel of water (including a invocation of colonics "that you may be free from your past sins"), and the angel of sunlight. These are all "brethren who will cast out all unclean things from the body." The glories of whole, fresh food are taught. Too, we are called upon to daily embrace the angels of earth, of life, of joy, and our Earthly Mother. Being aware of and showing gratitude for these living incarnations of God shape and strengthen the God we are. With earth as the mirror of the Heavenly Father, further communions are called for with the angels of power, love, wisdom, eternal life, work, and eternal peace, and with the Heavenly Father who "has been our dwelling place in all generations." In essence, we are urged to live by the fruit of the Tree of Life, enrapt by the wonders of each moment. Living our daily life seeped in this understanding and, most importantly, focusing our lives in these communions, purify and nourish. Energetically, Christ teaches, people living attuned with the natural laws then begin to dwell in a less dense environment and join with and can utilize the subtle forces. Now, how old was I before I first learned that? Yet 2000 years ago, followers in a different land heard this and dedicated themselves to a new life. These teachings remain in print for us as we are now, I believe, beginning to live what will aptly be talked about in our future as "The Greatest Story Ever Told." Reading Professor Szekelys memoirs (Search for the Ageless: Vols. 13), its clear that the message and the messenger were well matched for entry into the early twentieth century. Szekelys faith, joy in all life, and passion for simple truth opened up daily "synchronistic" opportunities to explore, teach, and experience. Rather than being content to merely translate and publish, Szekely took that most important step and turned what hed uncovered into a way of life for himself and many thousands of others. Szekelys primary emphasis was on health benefits rather than spiritual transformation. Its astonishing to learn how many people be they suffering from leprosy, fevers, or simple overweight were healed and strengthened through following the guidance that the professors passion had revealed to him. He performed his part well. I ponder all this and wonder how much more immediate and profound my spiritual hunger might be appeased if I embrace such guidance while holding a fixed, purposeful intent for spiritual illumination? There is hardly anything newly spoken in The Gospel of the Essenes that hasnt been, bit by bit, included in the thousands of recently published, though specialized, how-to books, and all the sacred texts of other cultures share holy wisdom. Here, though, for the first time, part of the chasm of biblical wisdom is filled by the Christian masters own voice, and it is a relief to hear it succinctly stated. So, why do I hesitate? Why would I continue to compromise my choices? The guidance of God is already imprinted within my every cell. To allow it to thrive, to allow it visibility, I must first leave the baggage of old beliefs, habits, instruction, memories, even my familiar foods and drinks in short, the way Ive been leave everything behind and embrace the natural essence of life that is mine to know and be. In so doing, I am filled. Can I eat this food, drink this goodness, every day and forever? Temptation, alas, pulls my attention elsewhere. Yet, what is my priority? What, after all, is my purpose? Who am I who are we trying to fool? Everything needed has been plentifully supplied and is already known. Now that were finally in the 21st century, it seems time for us to truly believe that "greater deeds than these, shall we do" and live the totality of the peace, power, and potential of our divinity in our every act.
