Founded in the early 1980s, The Gentle Wind Project has developed a unique healing technology in the form of hand-held Healing Instruments designed to repair and restore each persons energetic or etheric structure. This etheric structure is where the hurts and wounds of life are stored. When this structure is repaired, a persons functioning improves. In over 18 years of blind and double blind studies, the research shows that those who obtain this healing report that they are calmer, stronger, and more able to solve their problems. Stress-related conditions are alleviated. Troubled relationships improve. More than five million people in over 150 countries have obtained this healing. The Healing Instruments are used by helping professionals throughout the world and by hospitals to provide emotional support and balance to both patients and staff. The Project offers this healing free of charge. From my early adult years, it has been my desire and intent to reach a place where I experience life in a peaceful way: gentle ups and downs rather than a roller coaster ride. In the past, I went through periods where I believed I had made progress, but then a crisis reared its head and I found myself once again wallowing in misery, uncertainty, and drama. In March 1999, my husband David and I were introduced to The Gentle Wind Project and we obtained one of their Healing Instruments. Since then we have shared it, at no cost, with over 2,000 people. To date in the Northwest, at least 150 people have obtained Healing Instruments of their own and, over 10,000 people have used the Instruments. The results people are experiencing are remarkable. Most feel calmer almost immediately. People who suffered from anxiety, depression, fear, insomnia, grief, stress, and conflict in relationships have found relief. Many people report that they feel like they have been given a new lease on life, that they feel joyful, and that their lives have more meaning and purpose. Dave and I can vouch for this. In my early teen years, I began having anxiety attacks. They increased as I grew older, and I was hospitalized several times. The first time I used a Healing Instrument, the attacks ceased, and they have never returned. Its true! This alternative and complementary healing technology has been found to alleviate mental and emotional distress in patients, their caregivers, and families, particularly those suffering from cancer, AIDS, and Alzheimer's disease. Independent medical professionals have corroborated The Gentle Wind Project's research, and many of them support the healing technology today. All of the Gentle Wind Healing Instruments do the Basic Healing, which is a complete repair and regeneration of a persons energetic system. Each time a person is hurt mentally, emotionally, or physically, this energetic field is damaged. No amount of talking or counseling will heal the damage at its source. It is within this energetic structure that the hurts and wounds of each persons life are stored. Furthermore, the damaged areas in this structure have a magnetic quality, causing people to attract people and situations with similar kinds of harm. As people grow older, their lives become more stressed and contracted. Rather than expanding into new areas and learning new things with each passing year, most people are doing less and learning less. The majority of people are just trying to survive and cope with the stresses in their daily lives without much thought of achieving inner peace, satisfaction, or happiness. After using the Healing Instrument, many people feel that they have been given a fresh start. The Healing Instruments contain an energy that works on places in the personality where conflict with others emanates. This aspect dissolves the places in the personality where conflicts start. Some people have many areas of conflict. Others have just a few. Those with many may have a relationship that is based on conflict. In these cases, the relationship has been established on what is wrong with each other. The healing allows people with many areas of conflict to establish a new relationship based on what is right with each other. There is also an element to help maintain emotional balance and stability and an aspect to help people who have experienced unrequited love. Almost all of us have had this experience at one time or another and it is one that leaves us longing and discontented. The healing gives relief from this yearning and brings peace. In November, Mary "Mo" Miller, researcher, cofounder, and spokesperson for the Project, will speak at seminars in Portland, Oregon and Olympia, Bellevue, Seattle, Friday Harbor, and Port Townsend, Washington.
