New Colors, New Energies

by Arlene Arnold

We are in a time of change, of releasing old energies in order to step into something new. Since vibration allows us to interpret and to purposefully use what we find in creation, it is not surprising that new colors are revealing themselves as new vibrations within us and around us.

Have you noticed the colors of new cars? I especially noticed the gold and silver. There is so much more light in these colors. They fairly glow. More and more, we will see colors take on more light. That is because there is the opportunity for all of creation to change its vibration to take on more light.

We are also in a time of adjusting our perceptions so that what we have experienced as duality (black and white, up and down, good and bad, etc.) is embraced as part of our wholeness. They do not lose their individual contributions, yet together they allow us to experience the many sides of reality here.

As I speak about these new colors, I will present them as pairs. They complement each other. As we work with complementary colors, we are adjusting our perception to include the many sides of wholeness.

Lime green was the first new color I encountered. When I first wrote Colorcards: A Guide to Your Inner Knowing, lime green did not come forward as a color to be included. In the recently rewritten, expanded version of ColorCards, lime green surfaced as one of the colors to add. At first, I found I resisted lime green. In fact, working with it brought me into fear. I was drawn to bring violet and then, later, magenta into my visualization of lime green. This seemed to calm the fears. Soon, I realized that there was great power held in lime green. I owned up to the fact that I had misused that power in a past life. That was why it scared me. I am not here to misuse power in this lifetime, but I had to convince the cautious part of myself that it could trust me.

Lime green is made up of green (the heart), yellow (the solar plexus), and white (all colors of light combined). When these colors are combined, they create a new, powerful vibration. This vibration includes the characteristics of the heart chakra: caring, healing, integrating, growing, opening. The characteristics drawn from the solar plexus chakra are empowerment, clarity, expansiveness, individuality, brightness, power found through the mind, and leadership in the human dimension. The characteristics drawn from white include a high vibration of light from Source, the ability to draw information and power from many sources, purity, unconditional love, hope, spiritual leadership, and an expanded awareness of our connections beyond the earth. Combine all of the characteristics, and you will understand why lime green is so powerful and must be used with integrity.

Lime green’s complement is magenta. Magenta is made up of blue, red, and rose. Magenta combines the aspects of these colors to bring in a new vibration. Blue carries in it the ability to bring things into form, the ability to express one’s deepest self through words, art, and other creative forms. Blue brings calm, flow, soul leadership, and a commitment to authenticity. Red shares its fire. There is energy to get things started. There is passion for what counts most. There is a deep caring for the earth. Rose is the combination of blue, red and white. Those who are familiar with the rose ceremony know the power of the rose. There is a caring that is deep and healing. The white found in rose brings in light and unconditional love that comes from Source. When these energies are combined to make magenta, they bring a compassion that extends to the whole world. There is a desire for everyone to experience love, meaning, fulfillment, abundance, and acceptance. There is a desire for everyone to be whole.

Feel what it is like to work with both lime green and magenta. Feel this power that balances male and female, action and caring, mind and heart, practicality and spirituality, human and divine. With unconditional love infused into both colors, there is also an ability to stand back and allow the world and others to make their choices while you extend openhearted caring and compassion. You are ready to help when asked. You are ready to take action where it is appropriate. You are not attached to outcomes because you accept the flow and pattern that is unfolding.

If you have been experiencing pain at the base of the rib cage (between the heart chakra and the solar plexus), you may be opening to lime green. This pain sometimes feels like indigestion, an ulcer, or hernia. Consider whether you are holding lime green back. Are you afraid to open to its power? Visualize that you are opening this area of the body in the front and in the back. Breathe in magenta; breathe out lime green.

Magenta is found in the heart chakra and above the crown chakra. Open the heart chakra in the front and in the back. Breathe in lime green; breathe out magenta. Put your attention just above your head. Breathe in lime green; breathe out magenta.

When you breathe complementary colors, you bring in a balance of the two vibrations. This allows you to own up to blockages with less fear. This allows you to feel supported in making changes within these chakras.

Now may be the time for you to claim the power of lime green and magenta. You will know if these colors are important to you when you feel drawn to them or when you resist them. Either way, they will not go away.
